韶關《梅關古道》
[b][color=DarkGreen]梅關古道位於中國南部廣東省北的南雄市以北30公里，是唐朝名相張九齡所開鑿。開元四年（公元716年），張九齡辭官返回家鄉供養母親，途中看到家鄉父老翻越南嶺山脈十分艱難，決心打通南嶺，改善進出嶺南的交通。於是上奏唐玄宗，提出鑿山修路，得到了允許。當時那裡荊棘叢生，山石成堆，工程非常艱巨。
而梅嶺的得名相傳是根據南遷越人首領梅絹的姓氏得來的。梅嶺在嶺南經濟文化發展史上起了重要作用，自越人開發後，成了中原漢人南遷的落腳點。梅嶺得名的另一說法是梅樹多梅樹，故稱“梅嶺”。南雄梅關歷來是南北交通要道，也是歷代兵家必爭之地，史稱南雄。梅關古道設關始於秦朝。[/color][/b]
